My name is Miss Rachel Barbella and this is my first year teaching at St. Maximilian Kolbe School.
Go Cardinals! I began my undergrad at Temple University for two years studying early childhood education and playing varsity soccer. I transferred to Penn State University where I spent the remainder of my college years and completed my undergrad in early childhood education with a minor is special education (We Are..!). I have experience in Kindergarten through student teaching in Norristown, as well as being a building substitute in Norristown. I grew up being a member of the St. Max Parish my entire life so I am excited to be part of the St. Max School family this year!
When I'm not teaching, I love to be active and keep myself busy. I enjoy playing soccer in adult leagues, as well as babysitting on my free time. During the summer time, you will see me going to the beach as much as possible. I absolutely love the beach! I am lucky that my family has a beach house in Wildwood Crest where I often go during my summers. In the wintertime, I enjoy hitting the slopes and skiing with friends.
I have always dreamed of being an elementary school teacher my entire life, especially Kindergarten! I am super excited for this year to begin; we are going to have a wild time!
