It's hard to believe that in four weeks we'll be on summer vacation! Until then, we'll be very busy with review and assessments.
This week on Wednesday (May 23) the students will take the End-of-Year ELA Benchmark assessment. This test will cover all the reading and language skills we've been working on all year. On Thursday we'll have a Unit 4 religion test. We will be reviewing for this test tomorrow and Wednesday.
On June 5, 6, and 7 the archdiocesan end-of-year assessments will be administered. These assessments are as follows:
A religion study guide will be sent home this week, and we will be reviewing in class for these assessments.
This week on Thursday (May 24) you are all invited to our third-grade Authors' Breakfast from 8:45 to 10:00 AM. Come hear the third graders read some of their writing pieces from the past school year, and have some refreshments.
As you know, our field trip to Paradise Farms has been postponed to Friday, June 8. Hopefully the weather will be more cooperative on that day.
Remember, these days are school holidays: Friday, May 25; Monday, May 28; and Monday, June 11. Dismissal is at 11:30 on Tuesday, June 12; Wednesday, June 13; and Thursday, June 14. On Friday, June 15, our last day of school, dismissal is at 10:00 AM.
Hang in, and please stress to your child the importance of attention to schoolwork in these last days of learning. Also, keep working on those times tables, now and during the summer. They will be needed in the end-of-year testing, in fourth grade, and in life!
Thank you for all you do for me and for your children!
