Room 100 Newsletter
Week of December 6, 2015
This week we are still focusing on the Advent Season and preparing for Christmas!
Our elf, Egg Nog has been making appearances daily in the classroom. He left us a tasty drink of egg nog. Many of the children tried it and there were mixed reactions to it...some loved it and others...not so much! He also left us new markers for our dry erase boards which we use daily! The kids were so excited to have fresh, new colors!
Our Christmas Show will take place this week on Thursday, December 10 at 10am in the Multi Purpose Room! Both Pre K and K have been working very hard with our theme for the show..An Alphabet Christmas. We will be spending time each day this week practicing and we will have a dress rehearsal as well! Please look for an additional email regarding the show!
Religion
We will continue with our Advent Prayer services in the classroom on Wednesday mornings. We will light a second purple candle on our Advent Wreath. Please pray for your Advent Angel every day, before bed is a good time!
We are learning about the First Christmas and the children are showing great interest! We have several nativity sets for them to play with in the classroom!
The feast of Saint Lucy falls during the Advent season. We will learn that her name means “light” and that she brought the light of Jesus to the world.
