Room 100 Newsletter
Week of September 20, 2015
We completed our first full week of school last week! Continuing our daily routines in the classroom is so important. We are making progress but will continue with reminders in the upcoming weeks.
This week will be brief due to Pope Francis visiting Philadelphia! What an amazing time this will be for our city and surrounding area!
Religion
We will continue with making the sign of the cross and learning the Hail Mary! I am already seeing such growth in these areas!
Our focus will be learning about Pope Francis this week!
On Tuesday. September 22, the children are invited to wear the colors blue and white. These are the colors of Argentina, where Pope Francis grew up!
The Big Super Heroes will make a pope puppet using a paper bag. They will be doing lots of glueing! They will also make a hat that says “God Bless Our Pope”.
* Last Friday we walked to church and I showed the children how to get holy water! They did a great job!
Daily Lessons
I will not be introducing any new letters or numbers this week due to only having 2 days of classes.
