Room 100 Newsletter
Week of January 21, 2018Thank you for attending conferences on Friday! I was happy to meet with all of you to discuss your child’s progress and show you all they have learned and what they can do! I greatly appreciate your commitment to their education at such a young age! This is where it all begins!
We finally have a full week of school and I’m hoping all of us can get back into our routine of being at school every day. It has been cold, dark and snowy and I understand how tough that can make it getting to work and school! The children have not been outside either and that can take it’s toll on them too. We are going to get through these winter days and we have spring to look forward to! We have been feeding our bird friends regularly, just outside our classroom door and the children love watching them and feel good that they are helping them out during these days when their food is scarce. Thank you Mrs. Skros for donating the big bag of food to our classroom so that we can continue to feed our feathered friends!
Thank you to everyone who has been sending in disinfecting wipes! If anyone would still like to contribute, please send them in! We have been experiencing the virus in our classroom that is going around and I am doing my best to wipe down tables, chairs, door knobs etc. every day! If your child is sick or just not feeling well…PLEASE, Please… keep them home! This sickness is quite contagious and at this age the kids are touching everything! An extra day of rest is often required and is not going to hurt to miss a day of Pre K!
Thank you so much for your understanding!
We will finish up our unit on hibernation this week! We’ll celebrate by having everyone bring in a stuffed bear this Friday, January 26. We will make a den under one of our tables and have them hibernate and of course we’ll cuddle with them too!
Registration is now open for the upcoming school year…2018-2019. If you know you are returning to Saint Max, please register ASAP to secure your spot! There is much interest in our program and spots are filling up. I have been giving tours to prospective families since November for next year and they will continue throughout this year.
Please help spread the word on our awesome school!
Religion
This week we will discuss how God made each of us different, no two are the same just as no two snowflakes are the same. We will talk about how God made all of us exactly how he wanted us. Some of us are tall and others are short, some of us have dark hair and others
have light hair. Some of us love to do puzzles while others enjoy playing in the
kitchen, with trains or play doh.
Don’t forget to start liking for an adult size shoe box with a lid for an upcoming project! The children will be using the box for a Stations of the Cross project during the Lenten season. We need time to get the boxes prepared. Feel free to send it in if you have it already! The box and lid will be due on February 2, which is approaching quickly!
