Homework

    Homework is important as a means of reinforcing skills
and concepts taught in class.  It will be given regularly and
should be completed by the student.  Work should be neat,
complete, timely and as accurate as possible.  

     While homework will be posted on this site each day, students are still
required to copy assignments into their homework copybook each day.  This is
to ensure that students will have their assignments in the event a computer
is not available.  It will also allow students to have a record of their
assignments at the end of the day so they will know which books to bring home.

     When a student is absent, it is important that he or she try to catch
up on what was missed and complete any assignments soon after their return
to class. Students will be given one day to make up assignments missed for
each day of their absence.  Please contact me or have your child speak to me
if this is not possible due to continued illness or an overload of make-up
work.  Every effort will be made to choose new due dates for the
assignments. 
                                                                                                                                                       
     It would be helpful to arrange to have a sibling or another student pick
up your child's books the day of the absence.  He/she can check this website
for the missed assignments.  Having the phone numbers of two responsible
classmates is also recommended.  Please encourage your child to ask me if
they have any questions or concerns regarding homework.
