Thank you to all who attended our Valentine Celebration and those who sent in food, crafts, games etc. The children had a great time and it was nice to see so many parents socializing and connecting!
This week is brief due to the Presidents Holiday and a Faculty Meeting!
NO school on Monday, February 15 or Tuesday, February 16! Enjoy!
Our focus this week will be on Lent!
Please join the faculty and staff for our first “Curriculum Night” from 6:30pm-8:30pm. This is an opportunity for you to talk to teachers about what is being taught in each grade and look at student work. Please keep in mind it is not a time to conference with the teachers regarding your child. You can go to each grade to get an idea of what will happen in the upcoming school year for your child. It is also a great time to tell your friends, family and neighbors you may think are interested in Saint Max! We have amazing teachers, students and families! Not to mention we are a faith filled community! Spread the word!
Happy Birthday, Collin Shoemaker! February 18

Religion
Last week we celebrated Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season in our church. I also introduced the first three Stations of the Cross. We talked about them and I showed the children mini posters of stations 1-3. This week the Big Super Heroes will begin to color a Stations of the Cross booklet. They will begin to put symbols for stations 1-3 in their Stations of the Cross Box. Thank you all for sending in a shoe box for this project!
Stories
This week I will be reading some stories from our Children’s Bible
about the life of Jesus.
Activities
The Big Super Heroes will color in their Stations of the Cross Book- stations 1-3
They will draw a cross and copy or trace “I love Jesus”.
Both Big and Little Super Heroes will paint popsicles ticks and make a cross. We will put a magnet on the back so you can use it at home!
