Week of May 1, 2016
We welcome a new month...May!
This is the month that we honor our Blessed Mother!
The children are invited to bring in flowers throughout the month to place on
our prayer table for Mary!
We will continue our unit on the Life Cycle of a Butterfly.
Our live caterpillars will be arriving this week!
Last week , we read, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. We used marshmallows to paint a caterpillar! The kids absolutely loved this! We also made a “hungry caterpillar” necklace! These were extra activities we had time to squeeze in!
We got to see the dress rehearsal of the school show “The Lion King” last Wednesday. The Pre K had front row seats and the children were amazing! They sat through this hour and a half presentation on the edge of their seats!
They loved the music, costumes and seeing friends and family perform.
Wednesday, May 4 is “Class Picture Day! If you would like a copy of the class picture, please send in the envelope that was sent home a few weeks ago with $10 enclosed. Be sure your child’s name is on it!!!
