Room 100 Newsletter
Week of November 1, 2015
Thank you to everyone who attended our Halloween Parade/Celebration, and to those of you who volunteered your time or sent in items for the children! It was a great time!
The children were so well behaved and so happy to be celebrating this fun holiday with their classmates. Thank you, Mrs.McHugh, our homeroom mom, for organizing this fun morning!
Please send in any excess candy you may have from Trick or Treating tomorrow, Monday, November 2! Candy, our classroom witch, will be using it to fuel her home over the winter months. She will leave a new toy for the class in exchange for their candy! (It will make it’s way to Mongiovi Orthodontist for our troops!!!!)
This week we welcome a new month...November! This week I will introduce a unit that will take us to Thanksgiving. We will be learning about the First Thanksgiving. We will be learning many new words such as Pilgrim, Native American, Mayflower. I will be using pictures cards and books to show the children how the pilgrims and indians dressed, what they ate and how they lived.
Check your child’s folder this week for a letter regarding our new classroom Behavior Chart along with a November Calendar that will remain in their folder so that you can check their progress daily.
