Room 100 Newsletter
Week of October 25, 2015
I hope everyone was able to view the pictures I emailed this week end of the children in the Science Lab and making our classroom scarecrow.
We have so many fun things going on in Pre K right now!
In addition to our Daily Lessons, this week will be a little different because we will have a different theme each day to celebrate Halloween!
Please see the theme for each day and related activities below:
Monday, October 26- Spiders: Read: “Aaaarrrgghh! Spider by Lydia Monks
We will discuss that spiders have 8 legs and 8 eyes. We will sing “Itsy Bitsy Spider”.
Journal- draw a spider, write or trace the word spider.
Spider Game- Each student will have the opportunity to reach into a small container and pull out a spider ring. Is it black or orange? Each time a spider is picked, we will color a spider on our coloring page the color that was chosen. When everyone has taken a turn we will compare the number of orange spiders to the number of black spiders. We’ll wear our spider rings!
Hats- We will make spider hats to wear today using construction paper!
