Room 100 Newsletter
Week of September 6, 2015
Thank you to all who attended the Pre K Back To School Night! It was so great to see familiar faces and meet so many new ones! I am excited about the new school year and hope you and your child are too!
We will spend most of this week learning the names of our classmates and establishing classroom routines. It will take several weeks for the children to adapt to the classroom and new friends so we will be taking it slow.
Religion
We will be learning the Sign of the Cross and the Hail Mary. Both will take some time and we will work on it daily, others may already know these!
Stories
This week I will be reading the books from our Summer Reading list!
Change the World Before Bedtime by Mark Kimball Moulton
Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy by David Somar
Superhero ABC by Bob McLeod
Activities
Each student will be making a popsicle stick superhero!
We will be discussing what our individual super powers are this week! I hope you had a chance to discuss this with your child at home. It can be as something as simple as you your super power is helping others, coloring, sharing, swimming, etc. We will make a chart of our super powers!
