As our country calls for a different type of schooling right now, St. Max has gone remote.
All teachers are working from home. All daily assignments are created and turned in through Google Classroom. Students in grades 4-8 are video conferencing with their teachers regularly through Zoom. Teachers in the primary grades are communicating with their students and parents through a variety of ways. (seesaw, packets, etc.) We will post the great pictures and stories that you are sharing with us here and continue to post on facebook and instagram. Keep strong and remember to pray everyday for our continued health and guidance from our Lord.
Send all pictures and stories to stmaxinfo@stmax.org
I have created a web page with all different activities and places you and your child can explore and learn together. Check it out.
Please view the attached video for our virtual 2020 field day. The 8th grade students and faculty members are demonstrating fun games that the entire family can do. We hope you enjoy this friendly competition and send your results and pictures to Mrs. Keenan at mkeenan@stmax.org so we can share.

The Pre K 3 Express
On March 16th educators across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia quickly sprung into action reinventing ways to educate and connect with their students. St. Maximilian Kolbe’s Meghan DiGregorio and Jody Peterson decided to take their Pre K 3 show on the road. Learning packets filled with hands-on, exciting activities were hand delivered to their students’ mailboxes. The children were told by email to look for the special delivery and give a wave from their window! These packets were delivered with the purpose of connection and consistency to keep the momentum going with even the youngest active and engaged learners.
First graders are having a great time learning from home.
Fourth grade is learning about the digestive system. If they were in school they would have drawn their bodies out of brown paper and labeled the parts. At home the students came up with creative ways to show their understanding of the material.
Letters from Parents:
Thank you for all that you are doing. If you can please tell Mrs. Malseed and Mrs. DeYoung that a lot of the parents are very impressed with how quickly our small school adjusted to the online teaching.

At St. Maximilian Kolbe School, a strong Faith foundation is the center of our school’s culture. The values that are lived in your home are witnessed, modeled and lived in our school every day. Our families are an integral part of a vibrant, caring community; and in keeping with today’s competitive society, our children are afforded the best possible education.
St. Maximilian Kolbe School offers the essential components of a quality education:
Faith Formation is woven throughout the school day. As our children develop a solid faith foundation, they grow in character, and in confidence. They are prepared to face life’s challenges.
Strong Academics are taught by highly qualified educators using innovative, hands on learning strategies to engage and challenge every child. The latest technology, dynamic programs in Art, Music, Spanish, Phys Ed and many activities provide each child the opportunity to grow and learn in a modern, comfortable environment.
Community Support surrounds St. Max’s students. St. Max is a nurturing, close community of students, parents, teachers and administrators working together to ensure each child’s success. Supportive teachers, frequent communication and an online grading system combine to keep parents informed about their student’s progress. In addition we have the Chester County Intermediate Unit support for reading, math, speech and counseling.
