  To start the school year, you should bring these items:
  
   

  •  pencils, not mechanical pencils
  • 2 red pencils
  •  erasers, because the pencil erasers always wear out before the pencil does
  •  5 folders, labeled with your name and different from each other so you can tell them apart easily
  •  a book to read during silent reading time
  •  16 pack crayons,
  •  glue stick and scissors
  •  2 boxes of tissues and a container of lysol wipes
  •  a clipboard to use during writing workshop
  •  colored pencils if you choose
  •  a pencil case, preferably soft sided so that it will fit into the desk
  •  markers, water-based, not permanent
  • 1 marble-bound copybook for your journal
  • Copybooks and writing paper will be provided at school and a price list will be sent home
  • Earbuds, for the listening center, in a labeled ziploc bag
